Jazzabelle & Mollie
Hi! Mollie and Jazzabelle are doing so well! Jazzabelle comes when I
call her name, and Mollie has been getting more and more friendly... and they both have been sleeping by me. I love them so much!!! Aren't they adorable?? I am so glad I adopted them.

Buster (formerly Skittles)
We LOVE our dog! He is still SO good, and the kids thank God every night in their prayers that we found Buster and that it all worked out that we got to bring him home. He sleeps with Jake right in his bed every night and they are BOTH in heaven. He is just such a wonderful dog.
We LOVE him! Thanks again for putting us together!

Emma
Emma & Mika are doing so great! Emma has adjusted really well; her tail never stops wagging! I think she's realizing that we are her forever home. Emma is more relaxed and just seems happier overall. Since Mika has a full-time buddy now, our hyper yellow lab is a mellow sleepy puppy now. They play outside and tear up the backyard for hours! Then they come in and snooze on "their" chair in front of the fire. They were meant to be together.

Chester
We have given him lots of love and he seems to be warming up to us. I even woke up after a nap on a recliner last week to find him sleeping on my lap! He’s still no huge cuddler, and he may never be, but that’s just fine with us. He’s a wonderful addition to the family!
He is wonderful with the kids, and though he will never admit it, we think he loves them. Thanks for all you do and thanks for our newest family member!

Ruger (formerly Kody)
He is doing very well, adjusting to our schedules very well. We have renamed Kody to “Ruger”, and he is starting to get the hang of it. I am also trying to teach him “sit”…he’s a bit thick-headed but very loveable! Everyone at the Vet’s thinks he’s gorgeous.
He and Eve are bonding very well…I’ve taken them on a few walks together…and people ask what breed he is because that short tail confuses them!
We are very glad to have him, and we will keep you in the loop! Keep doing such a good job with those fosters!

Evelyn (formerly Baby Smudgie)
We have been having some great snuggling times. She's snuggling me back with her little head butts on my feet and legs. She'll get up or slither all around while I'm petting her and then settle down right next to my leg, and head butt me some more. Oh, of course lots of belly rubs. She purrs like crazy…

Shiloh
Hi, I adopted Shiloh in January after seeing his handsome face online. I think you may have named him that because he was so shy, but not anymore! He's a talker who is very social and easy-going with the other kitties in the house, which was really nice to see. I just wanted to let you know that he's doing well, and seems happy in his new home. It was fun telling people I found his personal ad online...Thank you for all the work you do.

Maggie Mae
She is more than we could have ever imagined!!!!! She is an absolute doll!!!! She and our Shih Tzu, Scooter get along like they are long lost friends. I think her favorite part of being here was jumping in bed with the girls and kissing them awake this morning. You and your family did such an amazing job with her. Maggie is just an incredible dog and we are so thrilled to have her in our family.
Thanks for everything,
--Holly M, Green Bay |

Annie
Annie is doing amazingly wonderful. She is such a snuggler and lover. She is still adjusting to our two year old, but she has taken to our three year old very well. When there is crying from either one she comes running from wherever she is to see if everything thing is okay. And the most amazing thing that I have seen from her is that she lets me pick her up and hold her while I am standing up and she never wants to get down. She is a welcome addition to our family and she has not stopped purring since we picked her up.
Thank you for all that you do for these wonderful pets.
--Kurt T, Appleton
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Penny (formerly Nemo)
We are having a great time together and I'm so happy that Michelle matched us together. Penny is the perfect cat for me. She is sitting in my lap and purring loudly right now.
Hope all's well. You do wonderful work that doesn't just benefit cats, but people as well. Thank you all very much!

Tweek
She is doing GREAT! The kids love her and so do I. When we got home I let her out onto the top of the cage play gym and Howard immediately started saying "pretty bird" and giving her the wolf call. She stayed on her end of the perch and ignored him and tried to nap but he would sneak up to her and peck her to wake her up, and then bow his head down to try to get her to preen his head but she would just peck him and run him off. It is so funny… She is such a good girl, and she will be very loved here.

Bella (formerly Dancer)
Thank you so much for "Dancer". We renamed her Bella because we put a little bell around her neck so that we could find her. She made our Christmas! The kids just adore her. She loves playing with them. Her favorite thing to do is hide and jump out when they walk by... She is very energetic which is good with five kids always trying to get her attention. Attention deprived is not something she'll ever have to worry about....
Again, thanks so much, she truly is a part of our family.
--Kendilyn B, Wrightstown, WI |
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Harley (formerly Ebony)
I just wanted you to know that Ebony now named Harley is doing very very well. I even got him a little Harley Davidson collar and name tag. He adapted well… almost seemed right away! The moment my Mom brought him home he never went to hide or seemed scared! He has caught on to his new name already and is a very cuddly and loving boy. He curls up at night by my Mom when she sleeps and purrrs loud. Also when either myself or her neighbor friends comes over he comes out right away to say hello... He seems happy and talks a lot. It is so cute cuz his voice is so quiet. We are sure happy to have him in the family!
Thank you so much for your organization and the work you do!

George and Mr. Purr
I just wanted to send you a little note to let you know that George and Mr. Purr are both doing wonderfully here. They have completely adjusted for family life and their new schedules. They are both very gentle with the girls, but definitely know how to get away when they do not want to be bothered. :) They have both proven to be my babies (making my hubby a bit jealous), as they both vie for my attention in the evening and seem to love laying with me and watching TV.
We love them both very much and they seem to be loving their new home and lifestyle as well….I am thankful for your uniting us with our new family members…Thank you again for everything!

Sweetpea
Thank you kindly to Emily, for going to get Sweetpea from Wausau, and to Michelle for giving Sweetpea and so many other cats a chance at life. We are very grateful to both of you and also to everyone that helps out. We brought Sweetpea home... She is very playful, such a sweetie! Thank you again,

Poof Poof
Just thought you'd like to know that despite Poof's energy, we and the Christmas tree survived the Holiday. I really love that little guy. He sleeps right by me every night. Our tortoiseshell cat, Marblee, likes Poof well enough as long as he obeys her rules…Anyway, I love it when I have both cats sleep with me. Don't know what I did to deserve that! :-D
So anyway, I really like Poof Poof, so you can't have him back. :-)

Salty and Pepper
Just a note that the “brothers” Salty (the Himalayan) and Pepper (the Maine Coon) continue to be so loved by us and their adopted cat brothers. Their individual personalities have flourished and they make us laugh and smile with their antics. Salty has gotten very attached to me and is everywhere I go…Pepper loves attention, too, but most of all he enjoys playing hide and seek with his brothers…After all the running and playing they do, they all curl up together on my bed and sleep (more like borderline comas) for hours and hours.
Life is very good for them and us, and I continue to be so grateful to Saving Paws for allowing us to bring them into our lives!
--Joy C, Iron Mountain, MI

Trapper
Trapper is doing great! You were right treats work well with him. He now sits, lays down, rolls over, gives five, shakes with both hands and even gives 10's! He's a wonderful dog...I've been walking him daily and he stills pulls, yesterday was a huge improvement in our walking routine. I pull him back and say heel and he seems to really respond well to that. He is also great with the baby, he doesn’t get too excited around him anymore and give him kisses if he's crying…
I couldn't of asked for a better dog. Thank you.
--Amanda R, Appleton

Tassie
Tassie is a very happy kitten! I just love her so much and I'm so happy I found her. She is growing so much! When people visit they say she looks like a totally different cat from when I first got her! Her fur is thick and soft, shes got a big belly on her! :) She is so friendly to everyone she meets, even other cats!
I hope all is well at the shelter and you are getting all those little kittens happy homes!

We renamed her Abigail because she is a gabby girl. She has adapted well to our home and is doing GREAT! Thank you for all you do for the animals and the owners.

Sage
Sage has not stopped purring. I took her to the vet and the vet had to take her out of the room to see if she ever stops purring. Everyone there complimented her on how sweet she is …All three of my other cats took to both of them right away, not even a hiss or growl out of anyone, it was just meant to be! She does not lack for attention, my sons and daughter spend hours playing with them.
--Kerry G, Appleton |
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jean Claude (formerly John), Connor and Ted
We renamed John Jean Claude (or Clawed if you prefer the obvious joke) but we call him JC. He's adorable and gets along with the other two older cats (Conner and Ted, Katrina rescue cats who were also adopted from Saving Paws) just fine. It took them a few days to warm up to him since he's quite the ball of energy but they play together and he has definitely helped to bring them out from under the bed. We're almost to the point that they'll let us touch them. I sneak a pat or two when I'm feeding them. In any case, I think the "get a kitten to lure them out" idea has worked. Thank you!

Sophie
I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you that Sophie is doing so well
and we LOVE her. She is so gentle and sweet and smart. She has had no accidents and sleeps through the night. We are just so happy to have her in our family and I want to tell you that. Thank you and also Amy, for making this happen. We feel like she is a perfect fit. We have all grown so attached to her we don't know anymore what we did without her.

Wrigley

I want to contribute my own "happy tail." My fiancee and I adopted Wrigley, a long-haired gray and white young cat from you in February 2007. We had to keep him apart from our other cat, Augusta (saved from a dumpster in Kentucky) for about a week. She wasn't sure if she wanted to let him into "her" house but his loving personality really won her over. He "talked" to her through the door and still is the loudest and most talkative cat I've ever known. We couldn't believe how big he ended up getting! Now he is quite a bit bigger and fluffier than her. Thank you so much for giving us this bundle of love!

Smudge and Smidgeon (formerly Cashmere)

Hello Michelle and Saving Paws Volunteers,
This note is long in coming, but I wanted to share about how Smudge and Smidgen are doing.
Last November, I talked my parents into adopting this brother/sister duo (after the losing their other two 15-16 year old cats within a year of each other). And, their lives haven’t been the same since. These two have brought so much life into that household, it’s incredible. My Mom has thanked us numerous times for bringing these two into their lives. They are mischievous, playful and sneaky little devils. The stories of the trouble they get into are endless… but always told with a smile and a good laugh. Their favorite sleeping spots are either on Mom’s lap or on top of the refrigerator...
I cannot thank you all enough for taking such good care of these little rascals when they came to you as kittens. Smidgen was a runt and got pushed around a lot. Now, she’s queen of the roost and boss over her brother, Smudge! I get teary-eyed just knowing how much they have done for my parents this last year, especially being there for Mom after her knee-replacement surgery.
Through the mischief and fun, they’ve also brought immense amounts of love and affection. My parents wanted me to extend a big ‘Thank you’ all for the work you do! You are angels!

Stuart
I have been meaning to let you know how Stuart is doing for quite some time…I wanted to let you know what a wonderful cat he is. He seems to enjoy everything in life from lounging in the sun on the screen porch, to rolling in catnip, to eating his nightly spoonful of Fancy Feast…to having his chin scratched. He purrs a lot, as well. I laugh when he meows because it always ends with a Meow? Got Treats?
I was on a trip for a few days earlier this month and gone for 3 nights for the first time since I got him and he has slept in my arms every night since I got back. He must have missed me! I was ill in August with a sinus infection and he was the best little nurse, sleeping at my side…He is a real sweetheart and I'm glad I shopped around, as I feel I found the right cat and just what I was looking for.
Thank you for bringing us together.
Kindest regards,
--Jennifer, Appleton

Milo (formerly Baby Ruth) and Miller (formerly Pattington)

Hi Michelle and all the volunteers at Saving Paws!
My husband and I adopted 2 males kitties…They are now almost 6 months of age and are doing wonderfully. They were just neutered and front declawed and are healed wonderfully from that. They are back to their rambunctious selves. We love them dearly!
I just wanted to let you know how they are doing now and let you see a recent picture of them. Keep up the wonderfull work that you all do!
Thank You!
--Jacki K, Appleton ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Benji (formerly Hunter) and Oliver (formerly Truffle)
Just wanted to send some photos of the two babies I adopted a few months ago. Benji (formerly Hunter - orphaned and bottle fed as a baby) and Oliver or "Ollie" (formerly Truffle) are both the sweetest, happiest kittens I've ever had. They follow me around and have learned my routines almost like puppies. As you will see from the pictures, they are deservingly spoiled and still best buddies. Benji has adopted my German Shepherd, Mercedes, as his girlfriend. He joined our family with a definite size disadvantage,
but he more than made up for that with his winning personality and courage…Oliver is just a love. He still cuddles like a baby in my arms and is a sweetheart for nail trims. He usually just purrs and closes his eyes while I massage his paws and do his pedicure. He
can inhale a treat faster than any cat I have ever seen. He is so smart!
Thanks for all the wonderful work you do.
Gratefully,
--Donna M, Appleton
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sahara (formerly Haylie)
She is doing wonderful…She is SO Sweet! She has a vet appointment on Wed. to get checked over and any shots she may need, then she's off to the spa for a bath. Big news, our cat just walked by, and she didn't move, we are having a breakthrough!!!! Thank you so much for your help last week. We are very grateful. Michelle was wonderful to work with. We thank you, and Sahara (Haylie) thanks you.

Sarah
Sarah is such a wonderful addition to our family. She loves rolling around
getting her belly petted by my son & daughter. She cuddles & plays with her new sister, Ashley and new brother, Brian as if they were born from the same litter! I am happy to say, Sarah & I have a very special bond. She sleeps at my feet every night. That is when she's not jumping on my head trying to get me to play in the middle of the night. Sarah is such a cuddler! We just love her so much & feel very blessed to have her in our family!
--Jaime P, Appleton
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Romeo (Romy)
He is fantastic! He has brought out the puppy in my old girl, a LhasaPoo named Penny…They are absolutely the best of friends and love to play wrestle… The two dogs are very excited early in the morning as we go for our 2-1/2 mile walk at 5 AM...He came with us to visit my 93 year old grandma in the nursing home. I put him on her lap and he refused to get off. He really is a lover and it made her day. He’s a lucky dog, but we are grateful he came to us. I think it was meant to be. Thanks for thinking of me when Romeo needed a new home.
--Debra, Appleton
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charley
Charley is doing just great. I couldn’t have made a better choice. He checked out the house and the cabin…He responds just great. He doesn’t want to leave my side and goes everywhere with me. He loves to ride in the car and is very relaxed riding. He met several of my friends up at the Camp and was just great with all of them. They all think he is a great dog with an excellent personality. Thanks Again, for the chance to get another Great dog.
--Gary V, Crivitz
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Salty and Pepper
Salty and Pepper have been such a wonderful addition to our family! In just two weeks “the boys” have adjusted completely and get along really well the other cats. When not perched in the cat tree, lying in a sunny window or looking out the door at the birds and squirrels, they’re next favorite thing is to play hide and seek with the other cats -- and this can go on for hours!! Salty has a thing for catnip and one whiff has him totally goofy! We love them both and look forward to many, many years of spoiling them!
This has turned out so much better than I ever expected. They were definitely meant to be here!
--Joy C, Kingsford, MI
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nell (formerly Buffy)
Little (Buffy) Nell continues to sparkle her way through the days. She and our male Zephyr are getting along MUCH better. Zephyr is beginning to see her as a companion rather than a threat, and allows her to smell him and walk around him while he is napping. They have begun to share litter and some food.
She continues to be a pure joy cat, so light on her feet and gentle.
Our dog loves her and they play together happily - no rough stuff, just a little teasing and chasing, and occasional barking and stare-downs. She stands her ground right in front of him, firmly planted. Then they nap close to each other.
Thanks again to all at Saving Paws...

Gracie and Lexie (formerly Cali)
I just wanted to let you know that Gracie and Lexie are doing great in their new home. Lexie adjusted right away, and once Gracie let our dog Murphy know that she was the new boss of the house they all get along great. The kitties love to sit in the front window and watch the birds. Lexie is such a cuddler and will fall asleep on whoever is sitting on the couch at the time. Gracie has decided that nighttime is her playtime, and for a big kitty (she's 13 pounds!!), she gets quite wound up. They both have put smiles on our faces again after the heartbreaking loss of our first kitty, Abby. We can't thank you enough for bringing them into our lives.
Thanks again for everything,
--Lori F

Elmo
Elmo is doing great. Today we left him alone for the first time – two four hour stretches and he was a really good boy – he never bothered a thing. We’ve been walking him twice a day and now he expects it! He’s very smart – I walked him Saturday night right after supper, and then last night, right after supper, he came and “got me” to let me know it was time for our walk! He’s a really good boy – we’re trying to get him into some routines, and he is settling in nicely.
--Patti J ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sally (formerly Jasmine) and Daniel (formerly DJ)
Sally is doing GREAT!!! She now comes out for everyone in the house and is willing to get pet by even the 5 yr old. She comes out on poker nights where there are 8-15 people around…Daniel is doing so great as well. He is a little lover. They both are really. He is willing to have anyone pet him.
Sally is a very sweet girl and we love her so much! I am so happy that we were able to keep her here. They are all just little gems. I love having these guys here!!
--Naomi, Stevens Point

April (formerly Twix) and Rain (formerly Sugar)
Just thought I'd drop you a note to let you know that April and Rain had their vet appointments yesterday and they did great…They both were clear for ears, eyes, skin, everything….They are really sweet, funny little kitties full of love and playfulness. And they are the best of girlfriends, always laying on each other and playing.

Gizmo
Nick and I just wanted to send you some photos of Gizmo. We've had her for about 3 months now and we absolutely love her. She seems to be very happy in her new home in Waukesha! She just turned 1 in July. She still has all her claws and is doing very well not scratching the furniture or carpet. She has a nice scratching post/kitty jungle gym to play on! Thanks again for allowing us to adopt this amazing kitty!!
--Erin R, Waukesha
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tiger (formerly Carmel)
Everything is wonderful. My family and I decided to rename him tiger because he is so brave and loves to explore. He is a great kitten and I absolutely love him. He fits perfectly with our family. Thank you for everything we owe him being an awesome kitten because you took such good care of them.
--Kristin ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scat
Here are two new pictures of Scat cat! :) She's doing awesome! We took her to the vet for a check-up and she checked out perfectly! So when we got her home, we let her out into the rest of the house (we had her quarantined in a bedroom) and she got to meet our other 3 cats. There was some hissing, and there still is, but it's slowly getting better. She's such a little lover and LOVES to sleep on my chest, right up by my neck, while
I'm sleeping. :)

Bounce
This is a picture of Bounce and our "old" kitty Bear creating mischief on my very cluttered desk. Bear is a 13 year old adoptee from Tokyo, Japan. He is generally grouchy; however, since Bounce has arrived Bear is infused with a new sense of play and curiosity. He really seems to enjoy showing Bounce the ropes.

Happy (formerly Pink) and Sailor (formerly Lombardi)
Happy and Sailor are doing well. They will sleep cuddled up together sometimes, will eat from the same dish and drink from the same dish and will even use the same litter box….They are really cute together.
They are getting used to us and vice versa. Happy talks a lot. Churps and meows.
We are enjoying them and they are great company. Something to think about except ourselves. We're so glad they are with us. Our children.
--Dorothy, Appleton

Stuart (formerly Lou)
I just wanted you to know that Lou the cat, who is now named Stuart, is doing wonderfully in his new home. He has such a wonderful disposition that my girl kitties have accepted him rather quickly…I'm sure before long they will be best buddies.
He has settled in quickly learning all the best kitty spots around the house…He checked out well at his first vet appointment - he is a healthy and lovable kitty. Thank you for bringing him into my life. He fills a void left when I lost my beloved Thaddeus to cancer last year.
--Jennifer Z, Appleton

Isabella (formerly Fluffy)
Just wanted to let you know again how happy we are with Miss Fluffy, our Isabella. She is so lovable and fun. She has turned out to be quite a character and she has become quite attached to my husband, who is really enjoying her antics. She still likes to sleep with us and she brings up her toys on the bed during the night. We have our little morning routines and she jumps into the bathtub after my shower every morning and leaves when the blow dryer comes out. She has become quite a help on the computer in the office and would certainly like to use the keyboard. Most of the time she is just the paperweight so the document you are trying to type doesn't fly off the desk! I've attached a couple of pictures of her. … I think you can tell she has made herself at home already. Thanks again and I will keep in touch.

Moon
Moon is doing fantastic!!! You would have thought he has always lived here. When we got home the first day I let him out of his carrier and he immediately came running out, jumped on my lap and started purring. He is such a lover and cuddler…Oh and the comments we get on how gorgous he is with his brown tiger striping. Until Moon joined our family I never realized how much I missed having a cat in the house. Absolutely love him and love all the fun that comes with having a kitty. Thank you thank you thank you so very much for allowing Moon to come and live with us. He has lifted our spirits and put many smiles on our faces. Just Love him to death. Gods blessings and peace to you all.

Dash (formerly Albert) and Chaser
The
cats are doing great. The kids are thrilled, and so are we…we had a
great experience adopting, and really liked visiting the shelter, and all of
the cats! Albert is doing very well, and my kids are having a blast with him. My youngest was running back and forth in the house with a string, and Albert was chasing him, they both loved it.

Annie
Annie is such a honey! She came to work this morning to meet a few of my friends for some snuggles and then was off to run errands...I am so happy that we got to meet you…It was a fun adventure for my daughters and almost a storybook beginning for this next chapter of their life with Annie! Thank you for making this possible for us and your commitment to the creatures of your area!

Love
Thank you for our Princess Love Love! She is a wonderful addition to our family. She is so sweet and loving. She looks at us with her dreamy eyes and we just fall in love with her over and over again. She is getting along really well with our other two kitties; the introduction is going much better than we could ever have hoped for! Thank you for nursing her back to health and never giving up on her, even when she was so sick when she first came to you. Our family is now complete. Thank you Michelle and Saving Paws!

Ali (formerly Angel)
I just wanted to tell you that Ali is doing great! She loves our dog, Kaci, and has adapted well in her new home. She is a great kitten. She has a lot of energy, she runs laps around the house before nap time. She is very friendly and loves attention. Thank you so much for letting us adopt her. She is GREAT!!!!!

Lucy & Penny
Hello, Just wanted to let you know how our babies are doing. Once again, thank you for all that you do. Lucy and Penny are the perfect addition to our home. The other cats get along great with them. Now they are just flying around the house. We have three floors for them to explore, so you just never know what is going to happen next. At times one or both are hanging from my curtains, it is just a joy to watch. They love to cuddle, and curl up right under you chin. I guess you could say they have us trained pretty well. Take care and God bless.

Whiskers (formerly Whiskey)
Whiskers as we call him now is doing fabulous, he has become quite a sweet cat. We love him. He gets sooo excited in the morning when I bring him his can of food. He makes all these squeaky noises, it's so cute. His fav is getting brushed, he just lays down and enjoys it. He also gets spunky and wants to play once in while. He comes in my office when I'm on the computer and chases the mouse arrow around the screen with his lame paw, it's so funny. I think he's very happy here and everyone is getting along great.
Thanks again,

Myrna (formerly Jellybean) & Keely (formerly Pee Wee)
I have an updated photo of our little girls for you…They seem to be adjusting well to our home surroundings, and have lots of fun chasing each other and playing around the house…they are very good eaters… It's been fun getting to know the kittens, playing with them, watching them play and relate to each other. They seem comfortable around us, and they let us pick them up and pet them. They even take time out of their busy playing schedule to curl up next to us for a rest now and then!
Even though we are very happy with Myrna and Keely, I do think of all the lovely cats we met at Saving Paws--and hope they have all found loving homes. We enjoyed meeting you all too!

Riley & Bailey
They are doing great, they sure loving getting into trouble. Like most kittens like doing. Riley like to eat a lot... and Bailey seems to eat when he’s hungry. They both gained weight since we got them. Everybody that comes over they have to say hi to. Very friendly cats. They are very spoiled, lots of cat toys they have to keep them busy. Thank You!

Lulu & Lola
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how our new babies are doing. The darker of the two is now Lucy Lou, and the other is now Penny. The first day they pretty much stayed in their own room, when we were home the door was left open, and as time went on they explored further and further out…Thank you so much for letting us take them home right away. They are the perfect addition to our family.

Mia
Just wanted to write you and let you know and everyone at Saving Paws that Mia is doing very well, she has made a complete turn for the best and is no longer really shy at all. She is a very active little girl and always wants to be in the middle of every thing that is going on. She is just a little sweetie with so much affection for everyone around. My parents love her to death. She has grown up quite fast as you will see. Take care and wish you all the best,

Teddy Bear
Aww!!!!! Teddy Bear is such an awesome cat! He's so lovey dovey! He gets to look outside, lay in the sunshine, have his own potty box, food & water ... He has had lots of company cuz there are always kids here coming & going. He loves the attention and everyone has loved him! I gave him a manicure & pedicure the first night while Chelsea was holding him & he fell asleep on us! There is a 1/2 bath in his room also, so he likes to visit anyone powdering their noses!
Just wanted to give you an update! Take care!

Cali and Taylor
This is an update on Cali and Taylor. Since picking them up last Friday, they have brought a joy into my life which is indescribable. Both of them are doing wonderful. They are full of the dickens and are very curious about everything they see. I am their new scratching post (they have two scratching post they are placed on when in the attempt to get me). I have this fake plant in which they play hide and seek. One will sit in the plant, waiting for the other to pounce upon. Their energy is relentless.
Thank you for your kindness. You are definitely a wonderful and loving person to these animals.

Tuffy
Visiting Saving Paws was a great experience! Charlie and Tuffy have bonded! He was on Charlie’s lap all evening Sunday, and he is in Charlie’s room. It’s not too cold. He has his own bed, which Charlie has just put up on his own bed, and Tuffy is just cozy in there. When Charlie came home from school today – Tuffy’s 1st day alone in Charlie’s room – Tuffy jumped off Charlie’s bed and hid under his bureau. He hissed a little at Charlie, but Charlie reached under and gently eased him out and cuddled him. Tuffy began “buzzing” immediately, which sure was a wonderful thing for him to experience.
Charlie is SO in love with Tuffy! Tuffy has eaten a little food and both his dishes are in Charlie’s room along with his covered litter box. But Tuffy hasn’t used the litter box yet – at least as far as we can tell. He was however in it today, because there were bits of litter around the box on the floor.
Thank you so much for entrusting Tuffy to Charlie. I think this is the beginning of a long and wonderful friendship for both of them. It is clearly evident that Tuffy is exactly who Charlie needed!
Take care and God Bless, and please thank Michele as well!

Noell (Formerly Greta)
Hi there guess it's about time to let you know how we are doing. First of all Greta's name has been changed to Noell. We are getting along just fine. She sure has a lot of energy!! Its a lot different going from having a 9 year old cat to a 1-1/2 year old one!!! Am sending you a couple of pics of her. I hope you enjoy them and thank you so much for bringing Noell into my life. I knew I could trust Michelle into giving me the perfect cat for me. If there is ever anything I can do for you let me know.
Love and Hugs

Smoochie & Nibbler (formerly Cami & Sophie)
After the loss of our beloved cat Heidi last August, we knew we wanted to adopt two kittens so that our other cat Tweek (and us) could better cope if something unfortunate were to happen to one of them again. Grieving for the pet you lost and the lonely pet left behind is quite difficult. Tweek is very independent and we were worried about bringing new kittens home. But Michelle gave us wonderful advice on how to introduce them and we still can't believe how well they get along. While we couldn't get all three to pose together, as you can see we had no trouble getting them to pose by themselves.
We want to thank Michelle and Saving Paws for the wonderful new additions to our family and for the heart, soul, and hard work she puts in to rescuing God's creatures. Not enough people leave this world a better place than when they got here, but she will have.
Many thanks,
- Jill & Gabriel, Kimberly

Kali (formerly Cali)
Kali is doing great!!!! I am so happy that we got her, and my dad is too. My other kitten, Casey, would be so lonely without her "mother" Kali. The first week of them together was rough, but then one day... Kali snuck up behind Casey and bam..... she licked Casey's ear! Casey was about to hiss, but instead, she slowly turned around and licked Kali on the nose.
Kali is totally my best friend. This is how she drinks... she sticks her paw in the bowl and drinks it off her paw! Also she is the only cat I know who loves water! Casey and Kali are so close, Casey will "cry" if Kali is gone for more than 5 minutes! Oh yes and Kali made a den for her "kitten" Casey.
Keep it real-

Larry
He certainly seems to be enjoying life in a house! He's made the fleece throw blanket on the couch his favorite place to nap. He is so loving, he practically leaps into our arms when we just go to scratch his head. He's doing fine with the litter box and all, we haven't had any problems. No spraying or anything either. And he's even scared away the mice! We have woods behind the house, so mice like to come warm up inside this time of year. But they don't seem to favor our cupboards so much now. :)
We'll send you guys some pictures in a bit. Thanks so much for letting us bring Larry to Indiana!

Dallas (formerly Pooka) and Louie (formerly Sweetpea)
The kittens have settled in very nicely now. They aren't reallly getting the concept of staying out of the plants or off the table yet (and that's with the waterbottle), but we're working on it. Naughty little boys. ;) They have grown so much in the last month and a half; it's crazy! Now they can jump up onto the furniture instead of clawing their way up (thank goodness). At the end of the month they go in to get neutered and have their front claws removed (I'm against declawing, but it's my parent's house...).
The boys are being uber-spoiled. It seems everytime I go into a store, I come out with another toy. They don't seem to mind though. :) Dallas is still sort of skiddish at times. He'll be all loving and purring one second and then a scaredy-cat the next. Hopefully he'll grow out of this. Louie is a little lover. His little motor is always going. And when he's not playing, he's on someone's lap napping--normally mine (I'm the obvious favorite in the house--haha). Every night when I go to bed he follows me in and sleeps with me...he really is such a sweetpea! It is a bit of a pain when there are 3 cats taking up over half of your bed though! :P
Max has gotten comfortable with the kittens too. When they aren't playing, he is always grooming them. We call him the kittens' "Daddy;" it's so cute. He even started play-wrestling with Dallas. It's so funny to see this 15 pound cat going after a 4(ish) pound kitten. I must say that Dallas brings it on though--he's always attacking Max's tail.
All in all, they've settled in nicely. I've attached two pictures of them that I just took--the little couch-hogs. :D
Happy Holidays,
--Ashley and her babies...Max, Louie, and Dallas

Elvira (formerly Jellybean)
Jon and I adopted Elvira (formerly Jellybean) in early November. We're happy to report she's doing great and is growing like crazy. She purrs all the time and loves being around us, and she loves her new friend Macy, our 3 year old Ragdoll. We followed your tips to introduce them and they were the best of friends in less than a week. They play together all day and sleep together at the foot of our bed every night. Thanks so much for helping us pick the perfect kitten for us and for Macy!
P.S. I've attached a picture of Elvira enjoying some bacon with Jon, one of her up close from Jon's point of view while she was climbing up his leg, and one of her and Macy curled up together.

Gabby (Formerly Mittsy) and Patches:
I just wanted to let you know we are enjoying our kitties immensely! Patches
is doing just fine. She really growing. And "Mittsy" Gabby because she talked for 2 days. She has settled in now too...I am so
happy I found you. You are doing such good work. Keep it up! Thank you for
my new pets.

Peanut & Gracie are doing fine and are settling in nicely. It turns out that Gracie is the outgoing and absolutely
fearless one! Although they are confined at night and during the day when we
are gone, Gracie quickly conquered most of the house very quickly - with
tail straight up and racing all around - having a blast. Peanut followed
somewhat but wasn't as brave about venturing out alone...especially in the
open areas. Gracie found it quite amusing to playfully run by our pomeranian
and our other cat within inches, being a real instigator and trying to get
them to play. After an hour of playing, they're sprawled out sleeping on a
blanket on the couch. Peanut actually fell asleep on top of the couch last
night and then fell backwards down onto a blanket on the cushion and never
moved - just kept on sleeping. They're both hilarious and we're enjoying
them very much.
Good luck with the shelter and all the pets. I've also told my friends and
co-workers about your place so the word gets out and good homes can be
found.

Bandit is doing great! He is sooo cute and so playful. We have been introducing him to tons of people so he is very friendly and has an awesome personality. My dad (not a cat person) loves him and always seems to be found sleeping "mysteriously" with Bandit when I bring him home! He loves to play with his toy mice, likes to pounce on my head when I'm sleeping, and wakes me up by chewing on my earrings...haha. He's already getting a lot bigger, but he's so pretty! He is such an awesome cat!!

Luke, Rory & Sookie (formerly Baby Kenzie, Roo & Buddy)
The kittens are doing wonderfully. It is the best decision I have ever made, regardless of my allergies. I have felt the stress of the work day literally melt away in the evenings while playing with the little guys and gal. Luke is the purr-fect snuggler, content to wrap up in a dish towel on my lap, or my husband’s for about an hour before we go to bed every evening. Needless to say, I go right to sleep after those evening hours of fun and petting!
Thanks for the work you all do at the shelter, and for trusting these little ones to us. We will take good care of them.

Taffy, aka Magic or Houdini, and Ariel, aka Ribbon or Lightning, both seem to be settling in quite nicely…their favorite toy is crumpled paper or those sparkle type kitty/cat nip ornaments they can bat around…they love to tease Akeetah (my 9-month-old puppy) as she is up for the new playmates. I wish I had a movie camera sometimes, I have even broken out laughing out loud.

Sooty
I thought you would like an update on Sooty. He is
becoming more sociable every day. He is also eating
and drinking well. His favorite hiding place is behind
the basement stairs under my Christmas tree. He has
been very sociable with the rest of the family too. I
am really enjoying him. Thanks again.

Bump
Thank you for Bump. She is such a sweetheart! We knew when we met the Bumpster that if any kitty would ever fit into our current "Paw-Paw Gang" it would be Bump. She is doing fantastic.of course all you have to do is look at her and she starts purring loud enough to hear across the room. At night she snuggles right into the palm of my hand and keeps a paw on my cheek.
She's definitely a keeper and it's looking like the whole gang is leaning towards accepting her.I will keep you up to date on our little sweetie pie.Thank you so much for sharing the Saving Paws postings with me! We are so lucky to have her in our lives!
