Have you ever had the great feeling of knowing that you helped someon or something in need??? Well, the members of the cat project in the Hi-Flyers 4-H club experienced just that feeling on our field trip to the Saving Paws animal rescue center. We learned all about how the rescue center operates and it's policies. One of the facts that surprised us most was that they are a TRUE no kill animal rescue center. While many say that they are no kill, Saving Paws is the only one in the area that will keep disable cats. We also learned the difference between a feral cat and a stray cat. On top of learning all those things, we got a chance to get to know and socialize with the cats. We also donated cat supplies to help the shelter continue caring for the cats. By the end, we all had found our own special pal. Another amazing sight was the one week old kittens we got to see. They were adorable, tiny, and still had their eyes closed. This was a great field trip for us to take. We all learned a lot of valuable information and made great new friends!!!
